As your data flow gets more complex you will want to be proficient at navigating your way around the canvas. You can pan (move) your view of the canvas simply by dragging anywhere on the background. Note that if you hold down the Shift key at the same time you will draw a selection box rather than pan the view.
To zoom in or out, you can either use the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons on the Zoom bar, or you can scroll the mouse wheel (if you have one on your mouse) to quickly zoom in and out on the current cursor position.
The Zoom bar also has a Zoom to Fit option, which resizes the data flow to fit everything onscreen at once, and a Reset Zoom option, which returns to the default position and zoom factor. See Designer user interface to locate the Zoom bar.
