Opening Context data files in Excel - Latest

Context data is delivered in pipe-delimited files. To open these delimited files in Excel:

1. Open the compressed delivery file and extract the *.csv data file.
2. Launch Excel.
3. Click Open > Browse.
4. Navigate to the location to which the *.csv file was extracted.
5. Set the file type filter to Text Files (*.prn, *.txt, *.csv).
6. Select the *.csv file and click Open.
7. If data displays as a single column:
   1. Select all of Column A
   2. Click Data > Text to Columns
   3. Select the Delimited option and click Next
   4. Check Other and in the field to the right, enter the pipe ( | ) character
   5. Select the Text option to preserve leading zeros in the data
   6. Click Finish.
