The task definition command options identify the sources and targets that constitute a task along with the corresponding detail specifications on size, record layout, component fields, filters, and conditions that enable the transformation of source data to target output through aggregate, copy, join, merge, and sort processes.
Notes:
- C style comments, for example, /* comment */, are supported.
- UNIX shell expansion and/or substitution options that are used directly on the command line, could affect wildcards, environment variables, etc.
Connect ETL task definition command options are outlined within task definition files, which are executed as tasks when made accessible to and run by Connect ETL.
