Java applications using timestamps require this timezone property since Java uses QTIME, QUTCOFFSET, and the user.timezone property together.
-
Open the file with the Windows-provided Notepad (or equivalent) editor
-
Add the timezone statement, using the setting appropriate for your locale (for example, user.timezone=EST).
Note: Do not insert a blank on either side of the = character. -
Save the file.
-
Exit the editor.
When this is set, and when Connect CDC has been installed and the Connect CDC Listener is started, you will see timestamps in the kernel and Connect CDC Listener logs set to local time. (Logs are described in the Getting Started Guide.).
Note: This property needs to be changed manually for Daylight Saving time. For more information about Daylight Saving Time, see the section on scheduling in the Connect CDC Advanced User Guide.
