Use this page to specify or modify a value for these Distribution request properties:

  • Request name—The unique model name for this request.

  • If you are want to replicate data to a Teradata target database, select Use “Load Utility” where possible. By default, this checkbox is unselected.

  1. Select the Load Utility tab. This tab only appears if you have selected Use “Load Utility” where possible.

  2. The Load Utility dialog displays.

  3. In the Apply error mode section, select the appropriate error mode you wish to apply for a specific request to the target database.

Skip file, continue with next—For a specific request, skip the file that had the error while applying data, and proceed to apply data from the next file.

Skip and Delete file, continue with next—For a specific request, skip and delete the file that that had the error while applying data, and proceed to apply data from the next file.

Shut down apply component—For a specific request, stop applying data to the target database. This is the default.

  • Path group—One or more paths, providing alternative routes between specified source and target hosts for the request. Using a path group is optional.

  • Schedule—A specified time (or sequence of times) to start the distribution of captured data, for all mappings in the distribution. Using a schedule is optional. See Schedule data distribution.

  • Start request from—If the Schedule text boxes are populated, the Start request from radio buttons are enabled. Select one of the following: Start request from replication starts the request with replication. Copy is skipped. Start request from copy starts the request from copy. Once copy is complete, replication begins.

  • Select a server (Connections)—For connections to servers that participate in this request, you can override the currently defined server logon ID.

This box lists the servers defined in the model. When you highlight a server, the box displays one or more login IDs defined for the server on the Server Properties dialog. You can select one of those IDs per server for this request to override the currently defined default user.

  • Server connections should not be set to anything other than the replication user for a bidirectional request.

  • A request may be associated with one logon ID only per server.

  • The default user IDs for each server are labeled with [Default] in the list.

To designate logon IDs

  1. Select (highlight) a server.

  2. Select (highlight) a user ID.

  3. Select another server.

  4. Select its user ID.

  5. When all required servers have a user ID, click the OK button.

  6. The highlighted pairs are used for all connections in this request.

Note: Once you select a logon ID, you can de-select it only by selecting another ID.
