If this is the Model Default Alert Action dialog, selecting this checkbox allows you to specify defaults for email alert actions for any sending server in the model for which explicit values are not set. Any values specified in the server-specific dialog (server Alert Action) override the values specified here.

If this is the server Alert Action dialog, selecting this checkbox instructs the Connect CDC Director to send an email report when this server has an alert. The values you supply here override any values specified in the model-specific (Model Default Alert Action) dialog.
