The Create Reference Mappings dialog lets you create table mappings at this target server by copying one or more table mappings that are already defined at another server in this model.
Although you can create multiple reference mappings for this target server, each one may reference only one server’s table mappings.
Before you create the reference mappings:
-
Make sure this target server has the same DBMS and the same (fully qualified) table names and column names as each referenced server.
-
In Connect CDC Director, complete the definition of this target server and its connections, and verify that the connection(s) test successfully.
The Connect CDC Director automatically modifies the necessary distributions and model elements when you create the reference mapping. For example, you do not have to refresh the available tables cache at the target server, and you do not have to explicitly select any column mappings.
To create a reference mapping, see Create a reference mapping .
