If you desire to change a host name on a working model, do the following:

  1. Get users off the DBMS instance(s) of the hosts that are changing.

  2. In Connect CDC MonCon (or another monitoring and control tool):

    1. For DB2 and UDB, stop the Change Selector.

    2. Wait for the queues to empty.

    3. Stop the kernel.

    4. Close Connect CDC MonCon.

  3. After the host name has been changed and system restarted, if necessary, install Connect CDC again using the previous default values.

  4. Open Connect CDC Director.

    1. Change the host name in the properties for each renamed host.

    2. Test the host connection.

    3. Test the server connection(s).

    4. Incremental commit the model.

  5. In Connect CDC MonCon:

    1. Load your model.

    2. Use Model Update to get the new model.

You may need to use the advanced feature Force Version Change.

If the version number in the Connect CDC MonCon title bar does not update, load the model again or close/start Connect CDC MonCon and reload the model.

  6. Restart your request(s).
