The scenario described in this section is a mapping and distribution (Copy) of data from a single source table to target tables on three machines. Some of the column names differ, not all columns are to be mapped, and at least one of the columns contains a character or binary large object.
The scenario assumes:
-
The source host and server (Oracle UNIX) are defined.
-
The target hosts and servers (Oracle UNIX, Oracle, MS SQL Server) are defined.
-
Distribution tables are in the available cache for the source and for the target.
-
Two or more of the target servers have the same DBMS and the same (fully qualified) table names and column names as the source server. The table mapping defined for one of these targets will be referenced by one or more of the other targets.
