In the rare event that it is necessary to shutdown the kernel, highlight the host and select Connect CDC Kernel>Shutdown from the menu or right-click and select Shutdown from the context menu. Similarly, you can shutdown all the kernels by clicking Connect CDC Kernel and then choosing Connect CDC Kernel>Shutdown All or right-clicking and choosing Shutdown All from the context menu.
All core processes are shutdown. There are no hanging or running requests. An alert indicates that kernel is shutdown on all hosts.
Note: Shutting down the kernel does not shut down the active request. It will remember requests that were active before the shutdown and then restart once the kernel is brought up again.
