Verify that Connect CDC Listener is running at each machine involved in the Connect CDC distribution.
-
Select Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services
-
Scroll down to view Connect CDC Listener. If set to Started, it is running.
-
If Connect CDC Listener is not running, start it by right-clicking Connect CDC Listener, then choose Start from the menu that displays.
Alternately, start the Connect CDC Listener manually by executing the startlistener.bat file in C:\PreciselyConnect\ConnectCDC57\kernel\.You can execute this command file from any of the following:
-
from Windows Start>Run
-
from a Windows command window
-
by opening the directory in Windows Explorer and double-clicking the filename
-
Select Start>Programs>Connect CDC V5.8>Listener. This program option is present if the data movement kernel has been installed.
The Connect CDC Listener log is located in the directory where Connect CDC is installed in the kernel subdirectory. Since you can have more than one Connect CDC Listener at a time using different port numbers, the logs are identified by the combination of the machine name and the port number, for example:
C:\PreciselyConnect\ConnectCDC57\kernel\mountain_51701_2016-10-19.log
