Connect CDC components access host machines in the model using a model-wide default or using an individual host override of that default. The default socket type for this access is specified on the Model Properties, XML/Encryption page, and it is also identified on each Host Properties, Host page (after the colon (:) in the label for the Model default socket type button).
The default is either standard Java sockets or an Encrypted socket option.
On each host's Host Properties, Host page, you must select whether to use the default method or to override the default. That is, you either:

Select the Model default socket type button to use the model default.

Override the model default by selecting the Standard (unsecure) sockets button or Encryption.
