You can use the Enable CDC checkbox on the Server Properties dialog to enable or disable CDC if you are working with a 40g metabase on the Enterprise or Developer editions of MS SQL Server 2012 or higher.

When working with MS SQL Server 2012 or higher models:

  • If this is a “clean” installation of Connect CDC 6.0 with MS SQL Server 2012 or higher Enterprise or Developer editions, Enable CDC is checked by default. Deselect Enable CDC, to use the trigger-based replication method.

  • If this is an upgraded metabase, you must select Enable CDC to use the CDC replication method. If you do not select Enable CDC, the replication method is trigger-based.

For information on how to access the Server Properties dialog and field definitions refer to Create servers.
