During a metabase install, Connect CDC Director does the following:

Connects as administrator.

Creates the database and grants privileges.

Connects as rep user.
-
Creates the tables.
-
Creates indexes and procedures.
Use this dialog to install a copy of the metabase on an Informix machine. The Connect CDC Director sends SQL to the server host machine to create, recreate, or upgrade the metabase.
To install the metabase:

Right-click the server and, in the menu that displays, select Install Source Metabase or Install Target-only Metabase, depending on the server’s usage.
- In the dialog that displays, enter a password with Informix DS privileges.

Click OK.
- Select a dbspace in which to store this database.

Click OK.
- In the User ID and Password dialog, enter the password for the replication user ID, which owns the tables in the metabase.
- Click OK.
If your metabase is not defined or was previously removed, a message similar to the following displays:

Click Yes.
- A message summarizing Connect CDC Director activity displays.

Click OK.
- Review the Metabase Status and Creation Options for Informix DS.
When the steps are complete, a message similar to the following displays:

Click OK. When complete, go to After the Metabase is Installed
