For iASP, define metabase information, on the Server Properties page, Server tab, as shown in the following example.
The Product library displayed on the Server Properties page, Server tab is also known as the metabase library. By default, when first displayed, the default for the Metabase library is SHAREMB and the default for the Install library is the version number for the particular release. For example, SHAREV60.
The metabase can be created in the Install library. It is recommended that you specify another library that does not exist to contain the metabase. If you intend to have multiple models on this host (for example, test and production or multiple application sources or targets), you must use a different metabase for each model. If the metabase library does not exist, the Connect CDC Director automatically creates it with the appropriate attribute.
The Install library, displayed in the example above as SHAREV60, is the library where the Change Selector and the Delete Receiver Exit program are installed.
For iASP, ensure that you check Enable IASP and specify an IASP Name.
You can also optionally enter a relational database name in RDB Name but the iASP will be enabled even if no relational database is specified.
The Install Metabase process installs a copy of the metabase on an IBM i machine into the library designated as Product library on the Server Properties page, Server tab. Connect CDC Director sends SQL to the machine to create or recreate the metabase.
