The Agent Configuration file, sqdagents.cfg is a text file similar to the Access Control List Configuration file with a Global section containing variables specific to the Controller Daemon and Named sections containing variables specific to particular Agents. Lines starting with # or -- are considered comments.
There must be an entry in the sqdagents.cfg file for every agent; Capture/Publisher or Engine that the Controller Daemon either initiates or queries. In the case of a remote engine requesting a connection with a Capture agent, the Capture/Publisher must have an entry while the requesting Engine will not.
Note: The Controller Daemon cannot start either Capture agents or Apply Engines running on zOS so an agent configuration file on zOS will contain only Capture, Publisher and Storage agent information used to establish connections for Engines running on remote systems and to provide operating statistics to the Control Center.
