The Controller Daemon plays a special role on platforms running Data Capture Agents, authenticating incoming connection requests from Engines and Utilities usually running on other platforms, and transferring the opened socket to the requested Capture/Publisher. The Authorized Key File of the Capture Controller Daemon must contain the Public keys of all Engines and Utilities that will request connections to Captures/Publishers managed by the Daemon.
Note: This JCL can be simplified by placing all optional parameters in the sqdagents.cfg file described above rather than specifying them in the JCL. The exception to this recommendation is when multiple Controller Daemon's are running on the same machine. In that case --service=port_number must be specified for at least one of the Daemons.
