The sections above described the initial installation and configuration process. Once completed Connect CDC (SQData) is operationally ready to become active. UDB (Db2/LUW) data that is changed will be logged by UDB (Db2/LUW), then Captured. Subscribing Engines will be authenticated by the Controller Daemon and CDC data will be Published via TCP/IP to each subscribing Engine, which will apply the data to the target datastores.

There are two utilities used for controlling Connect CDC (SQData) components on Linux/AIX/Windows. SQDCONF and SQDMON utilities provide a full range of options for managing and controlling the SQDAEMON Controller Daemon and Capture Agents.
