Business Events are often defined by more than a change to a particular column in a single relational table. Fundamentally however business events do involve changed data. While every use case requires thoughtful analysis it can be easier to identify the combination of changes and perhaps even the before and after values of some data elements that together can be used to identify true Business Events.
Connect CDC (SQData)'s ability to capture multiple data sources and stream changes to a common messaging technology like Kafka make it possible to aggregate those changes by type and time to identify the originating Event. Clearly this requires a keen understanding of the Business processes that encounter the Event and the business applications involved in the initial encounter. If you find that the effect on the business goes beyond the initial encounter and processing of the event and want to do more in response contact support@precisely.com for more information.
