Connect CDC (SQData) operates under standard operating system and database level security on each platform on which it runs. Communication, particularly between platforms in a heterogeneous environment requires Secure Communications to ensure that only trusted connections are used for communication. The communications architecture provides for authentication of connection requests and several methods for the encryption of data transferred between systems.
