Connect CDC (SQData) Apply Engines can support legacy integration frameworks built upon IBM MQ as a target datastore.
The Apply Engine (SQDATA/SQDENG) has the ability to write to IBM MQ within or across operating system platforms. The DATASTORE command is used to define IBM MQ datastore types. Examples of how to specify queues as datastores are provided later in this section.
The following diagram depicts an instance of Connect CDC SQData cross platform operation with an Apply Engine on Linux writing to IBM MQ.
Output Data Message Persistence - Connect CDC SQData writes all output data messages as ‘persistent’ to avoid the accidental loss of data if there is an IBM MQ failure (i.e. queue manager not operational, channel failure, etc.). Data messages written by Connect CDC SQData are persistent even if a queue is defined as non-persistent.
