The requirements for installing CODE-1 Plus on a Windows platform are:

  • An account with Administrator privileges. Since CODE-1 Plus uses system environment variables, you must be logged on as an administrator to successfully install software and databases.

  • A minimum of 32 MB RAM. This memory requirement does not include memory for your application code and data.

  • A minimum of 20 MB of free hard disk space to install the software.

  • Additional hard disk space to install all databases on disk as noted below:

  • If you are upgrading an installed product, be sure to back up any files you have changed.

  • Permanent License Key available (for a new installation, if required). The Access Key only allows temporary use of the software. The Access Key that appears on the Download Software screen is valid for ten days. If your Access Key expires, contact Precisely to get a new Access Key or obtain your permanent license file.

  • Product documentation and release notes downloaded from the Precisely Support site.

Note: Installing more than one Precisely product in the same library is not advised. There are several modules that have common names that are used by more than one product. These modules are periodically updated to accommodate added functionality in one software product, and may cause conflicts if shared with other Precisely applications. We highly recommend that each application's programs are put into separate application libraries.
