Automate Connect is a license fulfillment system that tracks the assignment and usage of licenses for Automate products. To use Connect, you must be connected to the Internet.

For information on license types and the proper use of Connect licenses, please see the License Definitions and License Restrictions pages.

Activate a Automate license for Connect

If you are using a Automate product for the first time and you know that you have been assigned a Connect license, follow these steps to activate the software:

  1. Ensure that you have registered with the Connect account.
  2. On the screen that appears the first time you start Studio, click Connect.

The Connect Login dialog box appears.

  3. Type in your user credentials.

The Remember my login check box is selected so that you can open the program again without entering credentials. To work offline and to schedule runs, keep the Remember my login box checked.

  4. Click OK. The program opens.
Note:

There is support to enforce manual user authorization in Connect mode for every access.

The Studio application will be launched in English after Connect mode selection on Japanese machine.

SAML Authentication

Before activation, confirm that you have been assigned an Evolve license and that you know your Evolve site address. If you are unsure about these items, please reach out to your license administrator.

To activate Studio:

  1. Start Studio.
  2. Choose Evolve as activation mode and click OK.
  3. Enter your Evolve site address and click OK.
  4. Enter your Identity provider credentials, for example Azure or Google.
  5. Mark one of the apps as default and click OK.

Marking the app as the default means you will be logged into that app by default.

License Management System (LMS) support

Studio versions 12.1 and 11.3 support LMS Standalone.
