Jobs page details

The Jobs page provides an overview of different business and system jobs running in Evolve.

Beginning with version 24.0, you can use the View Details button to see job details, such as the type of job, its ID, status and the start and stop time of the job. This button is enabled only when you select a job.

The Comments field in the Job Details page displays errors encountered while running the job. You can copy the text in the Comments field using the Copy button.

The table below describes the fields in the Job Details page:

Column Name

Details

Job Name

The name of the file this job is designated to run.

Status

The status of the job -- completed, errored, or stuck.

Job Type

The process that was used to schedule the job – for example, AutoRun or Update.

Start

The time at which the job started executing.

Stopped

The time the job ended (if it has finished processing).

Processing Host

The worker or application server host that processes the job.

JobId

The technical ID of the job as available in the Evolve database tables.

Process Name

The name of the process of the job

Type of jobs

Based on the functions and usages, jobs are of these types:
  • Business jobs
  • System jobs
  • Email jobs
Business jobs:
These are the SAP execution jobs that have been added to the worker. They are used for posting data into SAP.
On this page, you can monitor the current status of different business jobs. To view job history, select the specific job for which you require details.
The table below includes available job details. This information may be useful for debugging issues with the help of the Precisely Support team.
Following are the actions you can perform on the Jobs page.
  • Show Error Job Details: Shows the details of all the jobs in error state.
  • Reset All to Pending: Send out notifications again. All Error jobs will be reset to pending and will be re-executed.
  • Reset to Pending: The selected job in error state will be reset to pending and will be re-executed.
  • Clear All Error Jobs (Previously Clear Error Jobs ): Deletes the entire job queue.

In the Error Job Details table, you can select individual job to see detailed error message in Comments column. You may select individual job to Reset to Pending or Clear Error Jobs.

System jobs:
System jobs are used by the Evolve application to enable the functioning of system resources. The following job types are used by the Evolve application.
  • Purge: Purge the system jobs which have completed or errored out.
  • ROI sync: Determine the frequency with which ROI information is synced with the Connect system.
  • Delete: Permanently delete items in the recycle bin.
  • Archive: Archive the documents (Forms and Excel) from the app you are using.
  • Monthly Server Reporting Data Sync: Collect system environment data, usage data and product version information on monthly basis.
Refer to these job types if you encounter issues with the system jobs in your application; they will be useful if you are working together with the Precisely Support team.
Email jobs:

Email jobs provide the number of email notifications which are in the error state. It shows Number of Jobs in pending status and Number of Jobs in error status.

Following are the actions you can perform on the Jobs page.
  • Show Error Job Details: Shows the details of all the jobs in error state.
  • Reset All to Pending: Send out notifications again. The email jobs in error state will be reset to pending and will be re-executed.
  • Reset to Pending: The selected job in error state will be reset to pending and will be re-executed.
  • Clear All Error Jobs (Previously Clear Error Jobs ): Deletes the entire job queue.
In the Error Job Details table, you can select individual job to see detailed error message in Comments column. You may select individual job to Reset to Pending or Clear Error Jobs.
Note: Complete the Reset All to Pending process in off-peak hours only. This will prevent negative impacts to the system which would result if you have a high number of emails.
