To improve the security of the products supported by License Manager, the *PUBLIC authority for the product library and its related libraries has been changed to *EXCLUDE for the 10.0.10.00 version upgrade of License Manager and MIMIX.To prepare for the 10.0.10.00 upgrade, Precisely has commands available to assist you with checking product library authority.

Note: You can skip this chapter if your library already has *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE authority. You can use DSPOBJAUT QSYS/lib-name *LIB to determine the current *PUBLIC authority setting.
Note: License Manager will be changed to *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE during the 10.0.10.00 upgrade, regardless of the Precisely product being installed.

This chapter describes the ability of License Manager to check the product libraries for License Manager and MIMIX instances on the local system for the references to the library object used by the user profiles, QUSRLIBL and QSYSLIBL system values, and job descriptions. Use this capability to check for library references before changing the *PUBLIC authority to *EXCLUDE manually or having the 10.0.10.00 version service pack change it for you, so that user profiles with references can continue to be used, including logging onto the system. Precisely provides the Check Library References (CHKLIBREF) and Set Library Authority (SETLIBAUT) commands to assist you with product library authority.

Important!

If you do not have License Manager installed in 10.0.09.00 version, you can use the CHKLIBREF command available in the downloadable stream. For instructions on how to download and use the stream, see the Knowledgebase article.
