The Remove License Key (RMVLICKEY) command allows you to remove a license key for a specified product or feature on the local system.

Important! For product keys, each instance of the product that uses the product key on the local system will stop functioning when the license key is checked again. For feature keys, any instance using the feature key will no longer have access to the functionality allowed by the feature key.

Do the following from the system that the key to be removed is for:

  1. End all instances of the products that use the license.

  2. Type LAKEVIEW/WRKLICKEY and press Enter to access the Work with License Keys display.

  3. Locate the correct license key, system, and Serial-LPAR, type 4 (Remove) next to it and press Enter.

  4. A confirmation panel appears. To confirm removing the indicated license key, press Enter.

When the selected serial-LPAR matches current hardware, the key is removed from the system.

When option 4 is used on a row for license information that is for a system other than the local system, the license key information is only removed from the license summary information on the local system. The key on the non-local system is not affected.
