These instructions are for when you have obtained a license key package (LKP) and need to apply the keys for a product that is already installed. The Apply License Keys (APYLICKEY) command will apply the license keys for the current system that are in the LKP.

These instructions assume you have already transferred the LKP to the IBM i system.

On each system for which you want to apply license keys. do the following:

  1. Type LAKEVIEW/WRKLICKEY and press Enter to access the Work with License Keys display.

  2. Press F7 (Apply LKP).

  3. The Apply License Keys (APYLICKEY) display appears. At the LKP path and file name prompt, specify the fully qualified path for the location of the LKP file and press Enter.

  4. You should see message LVI0902 that indicates the change was complete.

Note: If you see error message, position the cursor on the message and press F1 (Help) to see information about the cause of the error.
