Regardless of the installation method you used to install a Precisely product, that product’s installation wizard is the preferred way to the install the Assure Unified Interface. The wizard supports an option to install or upgrade the portal application, which will also install or upgrade the Assure UI server as needed to the software level needed to support the portal application.
Do the following:
Download the product’s Installation Wizard from Support.
Run the wizard, selecting the “portal application only” choice from its Select Product panel. When prompted, accept defaults to automatically start the Assure Unified Interface after the install process completes. (If you do not allow this, you will need to manually make portal applications known to the server and start the server.)
Do one of the following to access the Assure UI server in a browser.
If you installed the Assure UI server using the product installation wizard and the wizard is still open, you can click the link on the Summary panel to open a browser window.
If the wizard is no longer open, specify the IP address or host name where the Assure UI server is installed and the configured port in the following URL. The default port is 8410.

If the Assure UI server has been changed to use a secure connection, use the following URL. If your browser warns you of an untrusted certificate, choose the option that allows you to continue.
https://server:port
Log in using your IBM i user ID and password. After you have logged in, the portal opens to the Home page.
If this is the first time that the Assure Unified Interface has been installed on the node, complete the setup using Completing the Assure UI portal setup for a new installation.
