You need to consider the security level as defined by the QSECURITY (system security level) system value on each system. Precisely strongly recommends that QSECURITY be set to 30 or higher.

In order for an Assure MIMIX, Assure iTERA, or Assure Security product to function on a system with the security level set at 30 or above, the QALWUSRDMN (allow user domain objects in libraries) system value must be set to *ALL or have the product library and any data library names added to the list of libraries for the system value. The installation process will add the product library and data library names to the system QALWUSRDMN value if it is not set to *ALL.

For the MIMIX or iTERA product family, the QRETSVRSEC (retain server security data) system value is checked on each system in the instance for operations that use remote journaling. MIMIX will check the value, and if necessary, will change the value to 1 when MIMIX system manager processes start and when a transfer definition is created or changed. iTERA checks the value when the mirroring subsystem is started (E2STRSBS) and when a requested Communications Test (30.7) specifies *EXTENDED or *FULL for its SCOPE. iTERA requires the value 1 for the QRETSVRSEC system value when the system specifies a value other than *USRID for its lowest authentication method (CHGDDMTCPA command). iTERA does not change this system value.

Note: MIMIX requires other system value settings for operation, and will change some system values to required values. This may include system values that affect system security auditing. For more information, see the More Info document for the Assure MIMIX Installation Wizard or the Assure MIMIX Administrator Reference book.
