  1. Enter the following command to display the Work with TCP/IP Connection Status screen:

    NETSTAT OPTION(*CNN)
  2. Press F14 to display the port numbers currently being used.

The port number you wish to use should not appear in the Local Port column. If the port number or the next two consecutive port numbers that you wish to use appear in the Local Port column, choose another port and change it using Changing the port for the Assure UI server - IBM i.
