The default protocol for the Assure UI server connection is HTTP. The server can be changed to require a secure connection using HTTPS.
If you attempt to access the Assure UI server using the wrong protocol, you may see a variety of issues depending on your browser, such as these:
If HTTP is configured and you try to connect using HTTPS you may see:
A “Connecting...” indicator that does not connect
Text indicating a connection problem or “cannot display the web page”
The browser may eventually display: 'Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR)”
If HTTPS is configured and you try to connect using HTTP, you may see a blank page or the browser may attempt to download a certificate file.
