For MIMIX, the installation wizard automatically checks license keys for all nodes as part of the installation process. Internet access is required for the PC where you will run the wizard if new license keys are required. The wizard automatically:
Checks for license keys on each node where an install or an upgrade will occur.
When required to obtain new license keys, the wizard initiates (opens) an outbound connection to a Precisely server that is listening on port 80. The wizard sends a license request package (LRP) for each node in the instance. This outbound HTTP request from the Assure UI portal is sent to the following web service:
http://iwiz.precisely.com/LM/iwizwebservice
The Precisely server accepts the license requests and validates the information sent (LRP) for licensing entitlement.
When the entitlement is validated, the Precisely server returns a license key package (LKP). The wizard applies a license key on each node where a new license key is required for the node.
An option is available in the MIMIX installation wizard to apply license keys that you manually downloaded if you do not have Internet access for the PC running the wizard or nodes.
