You can end the Assure UI server on a supported Windows platform from the Windows Start menu or by running the End Assure UI Server (endvsisvr) command. Either method will disconnect all users and end the Assure UI server.

Before ending the server, check with your Precisely software administrator. Ending the Assure UI server will prevent users from accessing Precisely portal applications.

The Assure UI server must be ended before performing any of these actions:

  • Before shutting down the system on which the Assure UI server runs for any reason

  • Before installing or upgrading the Assure UI portal or a product’s portal application

Note: Note:If you use a product’s installation wizard to install or upgrade software, the wizard will end the Assure UI server.
  • Before changing the Assure UI server port

  • Before manually making a portal application available to the Assure UI server or removing a portal application

  • Before exporting the Assure UI server configuration.

 

To end the Assure UI server do the following:

  1. Click the Start menu.

  2. Point to All Programs, then locate and point to Precisely Assure.

  3. Click Stop Server.

 

To end  the Assure UI server from a command line, do the following:

  1. Open a command prompt.

  2. Change directories to the location where the Assure Unified Interface commands are located:

    C:\installation-directory\http\vsisvr\httpsvr\bin

    Where installation-directory is:C:\Program Files\VisionSolutions 

     

  3. From the command line, type: endvsisvr
