Use these instructions to update licenses on a specific node listed in the License Summary window. You may need to do this when the license on a node is about to expire.
You may also need to do this when a new license is required because the node hardware changed (model, feature, or serial number).
For additional information about when to update a MIMIX license on a node during a hardware upgrade with or without a disk image change, see the Assure MIMIX Operations - 5250 book.
Do the following from the Home page:
Select License Summary from the global action menu on the Portal Connections portlet.
Each row listed on the License Summary window is a license on a specific host node. Select the Update License action for the license and node you want.
If you are prompted to log in to a node, provide a password for the ID specified in the portal connection.
The Options panel prompts you to either get keys from Precisely or use existing keys and identify a location where the license key package (LKP) exists. Make your selection, then click Next.
The Summary panel lists the products whose license from the LKP were applied to the selected node. The list of licenses displayed may not identify all of the updated licenses if the wizard has not received details about which licenses were updated. For a MIMIX license, this can occur if a system manager process between the node to which you are connected and another node in the MIMIX instance has a backlog or is not active. Click Finish.
