Portlets are added to a page using the Page/Folder Customizer for the page layout. Each layout on a page has its own Page/Folder Customizer through which you access the Portlet Selector.
The Portlet Selector provides descriptions of portlets for the available portal applications that are installed. You can select a product name to see its portlets or search for a portlet by keyword.
A portlet whose description indicates the information displayed is for a selection made in a different portlet is subordinate to the referenced portlet. If you select a subordinate portlet, you also need to select its referenced controlling portlet to place on the same page.
To add a portlet, do the following:
Select My Folder in the navigation area.
Select the page you want to change.
Click the Edit icon in the top right corner of the page.
The Page/Folder Customizer fields appear. If you see more than one occurrence of the Page/Folder Customizer, the page has multiple layouts.
Click the Add Portlet button in the layout you want. The Portlet Selector displays.
Locate the portlets you want to add. Click the Add link at the lower left of a portlet description. Clicking more than once will add multiple copies of the portlet.
When you have selected all the portlets you want, click the green arrow at the top of the page.
To return to normal mode, click the View icon in the top right corner of the page.
