You can add an instance for any Precisely product installed in your network that provides a portal application supported by this version of the Assure UI portal. Only one instance is needed for each installation of a product. Instances are configured on a per user basis and are not automatically shared between users. A group owner can optionally share a configured instance with members of the group.
The Add Instance wizard is accessed from the Instances portlet.To add an instance, do the following:
Select the Home folder in the navigation area.
Locate the Instances portlet on the Home page.
Note: Note:If a portlet on this page has been maximized, you may need to restore it to its normal state to see this portlet.In the toolbar, click Add.
The Add Instance wizard appears.
Select the product and a portal connection to use for discovery. The portal connection for discovery is a portal connection to a node where that product is installed. Then click Next.
The remaining steps in the wizard vary according to the selected product. Follow the wizard instructions to specify or select the requested information. Click Next to advance to the next step.
For a MIMIX instance, if you see steps with the title MIMIX Configuration, you may need to provide information so that the wizard can connect to another node or create missing configuration for the selected product library.

When you reach the Summary step, click Finish.
If you do not see the instance in the portlet list, press F5 to refresh the list.
