Resetting the password - IBM i - assure_mimix - Latest

If the Assure UI server runs on an IBM i platform, do the following to reset the password for the Assure UI administrator user ID (vspadmin). On the IBM iserver where the Assure UI server is installed, do the following:

1. End the Assure UI server server.

   VSI001LIB/ENDVSISVR

2. Start a QShell session.

   STRQSH

3. Change the current directory to the location of Assure UI server tools.

   cd /visionsolutions/http/vsisvr/httpsvr/tools

4. Run this script.

   resetpwd.sh

5. Press F3 to end the QSHELL session.

6. Start the Assure UI server.

   VSI001LIB/STRVSISVR

7. From your browser, log in to the Assure UI server as the Assure UI server administrator, specifying vspadmin as the user ID and password.

8. Use the Change Password portlet on the Administration page to change the password for the Assure UI user ID to a value that meets your environment's security requirements.
