As the Assure UI administrator, you can use the authority assigned to Assure UI user profiles to control who can log in to the Assure UI portal and control who has authority to access portlets and actions within the Home folder in the portal.
- Manage
The user can access all Assure UI portlets, windows, and actions within the Assure UI portal that do not explicitly require being logged in as the Assure UI administrator, and the user can own a group. This is the shipped value for the policy Default authority for a new user ID.

Display
The user can access a pre-defined set of Assure UI portlets and windows, limited actions such as Details, and can be a member of a group.

Exclude
The user cannot access the Assure UI portal. If the user attempts to log in, an error message instructs to the user contact the Assure UI administrator. This value can only be specified for an existing Assure UI user ID.
Table 5 lists the Assure UI portal actions and interfaces whose access is dependent on the user’s authority. The Assure UI portal authority levels do not limit access to functions provided by the portal applications deployed on the Assure UI server.

You must be logged in as the Assure UI administrator (vspadmin) to access portlets on the Administration page within the Home folder that control user access.
Customization actions within My Folder are not restricted by the authority assigned to Assure UI users.
