If you have a license for and use Assure Multi-Factor Authentication,(MFA), you need to do the following after an upgrade:

  1. The pre-upgrade checklist temporarily denied user access for the duration of the upgrade. Use the following command to turn rules back on and allow users the ability to access the product:

    product-library/CHGQAACT DECISION(*RULES)
  2. The Assure Security web application server starts automatically when the product subsystem is started. If you use the web listener or the web UI to access Assure MFA, which run in the application server, use the following URLs to access these functions:

    • Assure Security web UI:
      https://<ibm_i_host>:<port>/assure-security
    • Assure MFA web listener: (this is different than the URL in version 6.0)
      https://<ibm_i_host>:<port>/assure-security/web-listener

The web application uses secure communications with HTTPS only. As a certificate is required for HTTPS, a self-signed certificate is shipped and used by default. The default port is 9000.
