You must have an instance of Assure Security available that has license keys for the Assure Secure File Transfer feature before you start the migration. You must also ensure that the Alliance product is installed at a version listed in Supported upgrade and migration paths.

Do the following:

  1. Do the following to end the FTP Security product in library ALLFTP130 and disable exit programs:
    1. Enter the command:
      GO ALMAIN
    2. From the Alliance FTP Security Main Menu, use option 1 (Installation).
    3. From the Alliance FTP Security Installation Menu, use option 6 (End FTP).
    4. If you use the FTP logon security capability, disable its exit programs. From the Alliance FTP Security Installation Menu, use option 2 (Disable FTP logon security).
    5. If you use the FTP request security capability, disable its exit programs. From the Alliance FTP Security Installation Menu, use option 4 (Disable FTP request security).
  2. Access the Assure Security Main Menu using the command:
    product-library-name/SECMAIN
  3. Select option 9, Secure File Transfer (FTP) Security Menu.
  4. From the Assure Secure File Transfer (FTP) Security Menu, select option 1, Installation menu.
  5. From the FTP Security Installation Menu, select option 21 (Migrate ALLFTP130 library).
  6. A confirmation panel appears. To continue with the migration, press Enter.
    Any configuration for Assure Secure File Transfer created in the product library for Assure Security will be replaced by the configuration migrated from the ALLFTM130 library.
  7. After the migration completes, do the following to register the exit programs and start the FTP server.
    1. From the Assure Security Main Menu, enter the command
      GO ALMAIN
    2. From the Assure Secure File Transfer (FTP) Security Menu, use option 1 (Installation menu).
    3. If you use the FTP logon security capability, enable its exit programs. From the FTP Security Installation Menu, use option 1 (Enable FTP logon security).
    4. If you use the FTP request security capability, enable its exit programs. From the FTP Security Installation Menu, use option 3 (Enable FTP request security).
    5. From the FTP Security Installation Menu, use option 6 to end the FTP server and then option 5 (Start FTP) to restart it.
