For server and GUI installation, follow these steps:
- If you have any assessments from a previous version with a job status of pending or running, they will be deleted. You can wait until all the assessments finish and then run the installation. (This is only relevant if you select to install the server component.)

Click Accept to accept the End User License Agreement.
The Welcome screen is displayed.
- Click Next to continue.

Select the components you want to install. You can select the Security Risk Assessment client GUI (PC) component, the Security Risk Assessment server (IBM i) component, or both.
- Click Next to continue.

If you selected the Security Risk Assessment client GUI (PC) component, you can specify the destination folder.
Note: By default, it is installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ESRA\ folder.
- Click Next to continue.

If you selected the Security Risk Assessment server (IBM i) component, specify the System i machine where the server will be installed.
- For the Host, enter the IP address of the host server.
- Enter the FTP user name and password.
- The Assure Security Risk Assessment GUI communicates with the IBM i host via FTP. Usually, FTP uses port 21, but you can change the port if necessary.
- For the FTP Connection Type, select one of the following options:
- Regular FTP sessions only. The default port is 21.
- SSL/TLS and regular sessions (Explicit mode). The default port is 21.
- SSL/TLS sessions only (Implicit mode). The default port is 990.
- Click on Set Default Port to view the default port. You can change the port manually if necessary.
- Click Next to continue.

By default, a summary risk assessment will run and the GUI will open automatically after the installation finishes. If you do not want to run the assessment, clear the first checkbox. (Only relevant for server installation.) If you do not want the GUI to open automatically, clear the second checkbox.

Click Next to continue.
A series of installation tasks is displayed. When you click Finish, they will begin to run automatically. As the tasks execute, their status is updated. When all the tasks finish, the installation is complete.

Click Close to close the window.
The log file QGPL/LOGASSESS is created at the end of the process.
- If the installation did not complete successfully, you can check the log for details. (Only relevant for server installation.)

If you selected the installation of the Security Risk Assessment client GUI (PC) component, the following shortcuts are added to the All Programs menu:
- Assure Security Risk Assessment: Accesses Assure Security Risk Assessment.
- IBM i Installation Wizard: Accesses the Installation Wizard for the server component only.
- Help and User Guide: Opens the Assure Security Risk Assessment Help.
- Uninstall Instructions: Opens instructions for uninstalling Assure Security Risk Assessment.
