There are three options for submitting a risk assessment: Full Risk Assessment, Fast Risk Assessment and Summary Risk Assessment.

  • The Full Risk Assessment provides a full analysis of the security risks to your system. It takes a long period of time to run.
  • The Fast Risk Assessment provides the same analysis as the Full Risk Assessment with the exception of the heavy CPU-consuming analysis. It takes significantly less time to run.
  • The Summary Risk Assessment is based on the data of the Fast Risk Assessment but includes only the summary section.
Note: The Full and Fast Risk Assessments include supplemental reports for all the relevant sections. The Summary Risk Assessment does not include supplemental reports.
  1. Click Submit Full Risk Assessment, Submit Fast Risk Assessment or Summary Risk Assessment in the Tasks area on the left as desired.
  2. In the Submit Risk Assessment dialog box, you can click the Optional checkbox to select a submission date and time.
  3. When you click Submit, the assessment will be scheduled to run at the selected date and time. By default (if Optional is not selected), the assessment begins running when you click Submit.
  4. Only one assessment can be run at a time. If a second assessment is submitted while an earlier one is running, the second assessment will remain on hold until the first one ends. It will then run with a delay of up to 3 hours after the end of the first job.
  5. The assessment job runs under subsystem QUSRWRK on the IBM i host. Each assessment contains its own data that is gathered by the assessment job and is stored on the host. The name of each assessment job appears in a separate row.
The status of each assessment is indicated by an icon:
    • Running: An assessment that is currently running.
    • Pending: Assessments that were scheduled to run at a future time or are pending until the current assessment finishes running.
    • : Ended: Assessments that have finished running.
    • Failed: Assessments that failed and were aborted.
  6. To delete an assessment, select the desired assessment and click on Delete.
  7. Press the Refresh button to update the GUI with the status of the assessment.
