Assure MIMIX Promoter requires very little setup before it is ready to use. In a replication environment, your planning and preparation should be considered in the context of your total MIMIX environment.
Do the following to prepare to use the Copy Active File (CPYACTF) and Reorganize (RGZACTF) commands:
If you have not already done so, complete the following tasks. Refer to the information provided in the Using License Manager book.
Install the Assure MIMIX Enterprise software and its license key.
Optionally, control access to Assure MIMIX Promoter commands by turning on product-level security and granting authority to user profiles.
At this time, you should review the information in Requirements and considerations.
If the MIMIXSBS subsystem is not already active, refer to Starting the MIMIXSBS subsystem.
If you use Assure MIMIX Promoter to perform operations between two systems, ensure that the communications between the systems exists and is operational. You can use any of the transfer definitions and system definitions that are configured for MIMIX for the communications link. When using Assure MIMIX Promoter without MIMIX, you must use native TCP/IP communications.
