Do the following to reorganize an active file.

  1.    Ensure that the Assure MIMIX Promoter product library is in your library list. The default name for the library is MIMIX.

  2.    From the Assure MIMIX Promoter Main Menu, select option 2 (Reorganize an active file) and Press Enter.

  3.    The Reorganize Active File (RGZACTF) display appears. Do the following:

    1.  Specify the name of the file that you want to reorganize at the File prompt.
    2. Verify that the value of the Member prompt is what you want. For more information see, Member .

  4.    To see additional parameters for this command, press F10 (Additional parameters). Do the following:

    1. If you want to put this reorganize job in a named logical group, specify a name at the Group prompt.

    2. If you want to save a copy of the original file, specify *YES at the Save uncompressed file prompt.

    3. Verify that the remaining prompts contain the value you want. If necessary, change the values. For more information see Tips for reorganizing an active file .

  5.    Press Enter to submit the request.

Note: To complete processing, the RGZACTF command requires that all locks be removed from the file to be reorganized. If locks exist on the specified file, the RGZACTF command will loop indefinitely, waiting for the locks to be removed. Once the locks are removed, normal processing will continue. While in the wait and retry loop, the RGZACTF command sends an informational message once per hour to the QSYSOPR message queue to notify the user of the looping status. You need to be aware of this and manage the process as is necessary.
