To specify a copy that occurs between files on a single system, specify *LOCAL for the Protocol (PROTOCOL) parameter.
To perform copy operations between two systems, Assure MIMIX Promoter must be installed on the target system in a library having the same name as that used for the Assure MIMIX Promoter library on the source system. This is standard when Assure MIMIX Enterprise is installed. If you specify a transfer protocol, the copy operation occurs between two systems using a standard communications link. Communications must be defined and enabled before you start a copy operation.
You can also specify *SYSDFN, *TFRDFN, or *DGFN to copy between communications defined for MIMIX. The system definitions, transfer definitions, or data group definitions must be configured before you can start a copy operation.
