Data saved for the checkpoints of an ended copy active file job can be manually removed from the system. The Clear Copy Active File (CLRCPYACTF) command allows you to clear data that had been kept to allow an ended copy operation to be resumed. Once cleared, the copy processing operation for the physical file cannot be resumed.

The process of accessing the Work with Copy Status display also submits a job to clear any expired checkpoints for resumable CPYACTF jobs.

When copy active file requests occur within an Assure MIMIX environment, nightly cleanup jobs on the system will automatically remove data saved for expired checkpoints.

You can use any of the following instructions to manually clear data for CPYACTF jobs.

To clear unexpired and expired data for an ended copy active job, do the following:

From the Work with Copy Status display, type 21 (Clear data for resume) next to the resumable job for which to clear data and press Enter.

Note: The ended CPYACTF job can no longer be resumed.

To clear unexpired and expired data for all ended copy active jobs on the local system, do the following:

From a command line, enter the command:

CLRCPYACTF GRP(*ALL)
Note: All of the ended CPYACTF jobs can no longer be resumed.

To clear expired data for all ended copy active jobs on the local system, do the following:

From a command line, enter the command:

CLRCPYACTF GRP(*EXPIRED)
