Starting MIMIX under clustering control has been designed to be consistent with starting MIMIX without clustering. A single command, Start MIMIX (STRMMX), ensures that the various processes are performed in the correct order.
The MIMIXSBS subsystem, and the port server job within the subsystem, must be running on all nodes within the replication instance before MIMIX can be started.
- Do the following on each node in the instance to ensure that the MIMIXSBS subsystem is started:
- Verify that the MIMIXSBS subsystem is currently running. Enter the
command
WRKSBS
to display a list of the currently active subsystems. If MIMIXSBS is not listed, it must be started. - If necessary, start the MIMIXSBS subsystem by entering the
command:
STRSBS MIMIXQGPL/MIMIXSBS
- Verify that the MIMIXSBS subsystem has started before continuing.
- Verify that the MIMIXSBS subsystem is currently running. Enter the
command
- From the primary node, start MIMIX using the following command:where installation_library is the name of the replication instance to be started (and the name of the library in which the product is installed). The default name is MIMIX. If you have more than one replication instance installed or have used a different name, refer to your MIMIX runbook documentation for the name to use.
installation_library/STRMMX SYSDFN(*ALL)
You can also find the instance name by entering the command:
LAKEVIEW/WRKPRD
. The resulting list shows all MIMIX products that are currently installed on the node where the command was issued.
