If they are not already active, the remote journal (RJ) links used by replication and system manager processes are started by operations that start those processes, such as the STRMMX, STRDG, or STRMMXMGR commands.
To start a remote journal link separately from other MIMIX processes, do the following:
Do one of the following to access a subset of RJ links for the type of process by which they are used:
To access the RJ links for a data group on the Work with Data Groups display, type

(RJ links) next to the data group you want and press Enter.To access the RJ links for system manager processes on the Work with Systems display, type 7 (System manager status) next to the system you want and press Enter. On the resulting Work with System Pairs display, type

(Work with RJ links) next to the pair of systems for the system manager process you want and press Enter.
From the Work with Remote Journal Links display, type a

(Start) next to the link in the list that you want to start and press Enter.The Start Remote Journal Link (STRRJLNK) display appears. Specify the value you want for the Starting journal receiver prompt.
To start remote journaling for the specified link, press Enter.
