When ending system manager processes, it is usually sufficient to end only the system manager processing jobs. These instructions address optionally ending the system manager RJ links.
Important! The system manager RJ links can remain active unless there is a need to prevent MIMIX data from being sent to the target node. Scenarios when you should end the system manager RJ links include before performing an IPL and before performing a hardware upgrade.
To end the system manager processes in which a system participates, do the following:
Do one of the following:
From MIMIX Intermediate Main Menu, select option

(Work with Systems) and press Enter.From the Work with Application Groups display, use option

(Node entries). On the resulting Work with Node Entries display, pressF7
(Systems).
The Work with Systems display appears with a list of the system definitions defined for the MIMIX installation. Type a

(End) next to the system definition you want and press Enter.The End MIMIX Managers display appears. MIMIX preselects values for the Manager, Target journal inspection, and Collector services prompts based on whether the status of those processes on the specified system allow them to be ended. Verify that the values shown reflect what you want and change them if necessary.
Note: For the Manager prompt, the value *ALL indicates that the journal manager will also be ended. To end any system manager processes, either *ALL or *SYS must be specified. By default, system manager RJ links are not ended.Do one of the following:

To end only the system manager processing jobs, press Enter.

To end system manager RJ links as well as the processing jobs, specify *YES for the End system manager RJ links prompt. Then press Enter.
