Compliance is an indication of whether an audit ran within the time frame of the compliance thresholds set in auditing policies. The Audits included for compliance policy determines which audits are checked for compliance.

When an audit that is being checked for compliance reaches one of the compliance thresholds, its audit compliance status is reported as a *ATTN or *ACTREQ on the Compliance summary view of the Work with Audits display. Audit compliance status is included in the auditing status that is rolled up to other status values within a MIMIX instance.

Compliance is checked based on the last completed compare date. Compliance determines whether the date of the last completed compare completed by an audit is within the range set by policies. The Audit warning threshold policy and the Audit action threshold policy define when to indicate that an audit is approaching or exceeding that range.

For audits that have schedules enabled for both all-objects audits and prioritized-objects audits, only audit runs that selected all objects identified by data group configuration entries are considered in the compliance determination. For audits that have schedules enabled for only prioritized-object auditing, all audit runs are considered in the compliance determination regardless of the audit selected objects to audit. An all-objects audit will have checked all objects that were configured for the data group and within the class of objects checked by the audit whereas a prioritized audit may have checked only a subset of those objects.

Audit runs that only selected objects that were previously different (*DIF) are never considered in assessing compliance.
